Call of Duty, with Fries!
Infinity Ward has announced the first downloadable content for Modern Warfare 2 will be released on 30th March 2010.
Reportedly set to include five maps – Crash, Overgrown, Complex, Compact and Storm. Rumoured to be called the “Stimulus Package”.
Update – Going to cost 1200MSP, not a popular price by the sounds of things.
Kotaku is reporting strange happenings at Infinity Ward, developers of Modern Warfare. It appears that Jason West and Vince Zampella, two lead developers at Infinity Ward in a meeting with Activision were dismissed. Activision have stated “The Company is concluding an internal human resources inquiry into breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward”, “This matter is expected to involve the departure of key personnel and litigation”.
The rumours are that there are 2 DLC packs lined up for MW2 (perhaps more). Obviously this will include new multiplayer maps, but what interests me is what else we might see (or would like to see).
My requests would be:
4 Player Special Ops – Surely not that difficult to include and I would say this is 1 place that MW2 is beaten my WaW. If 4 player mode were included, I don’t see how many of the current missions would work, IW could perhaps alter a couple to be 4 player, but I think we would need some specific 4 player missions.
